Job Posting TitleLead Quality Technician - Orlando, FL (onsite)Job DescriptionServes as a member of the Specialty Pharmacy Team. Supports the Manufacturer Relations and Contracting team in audit and monitoring of certain contracted specialty drugs. Coordinates projects resulting in continuous quality improvement and process improvement. Supports the maintenance of a strong quality program, measured processes including URAC, NCQA, and/or HEDIS (where applicable) and reported outcomes.
Responsibilities
Coordinates assigned quality and process improvement activities which may include accreditation support, process improvement projects, quality studies, CQI (continuous quality improvement) process training for staff, monitoring required employee training completion and adherence, Pharma contract program coordination, tracking and reporting of adverse events in a timely fashion, and monitoring of performance guarantees.Conducts quality control reviews and external/internal audits for contracted Pharma drugs.Quarterly audits a minimum of 2% of patient communications, no less than 20 patient calls for J&J Pharma drugs dispensed at the pharmacySummarizes findings and prepares reports to external clients on findings.
Works with Manufacturer Relations & Contracting Team for preparation and ongoing requirements for Pharma contract compliance.
Works independently and high degree of organization required.
Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement processes, accreditation standards, and HEDIS/performance measurement.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and timelines.
Expertise in data management, data analysis, reporting word processing, and project management skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, VISIO, and/or MS Project.
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to enter data accurately into spread sheets and prepare professional looking documents and reports.
Education & Experience
GED / High SchoolCPT/ExCPT/LPT/PTCB/RPT, Pharmacy Technician, State Requirements - Pharmacy2+ years of quality improvement and auditing or related in healthcare field.Additional Qualifications
Specialty or retail pharmacy industry experience, previous reimbursement experience, and/or working in a health plan/health care setting.Proficiency in Pharmacy computerized systems and software applications, as well as MS Office Product Suite.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to identify and trouble-shoot problematic issues.Pharmacy technician experience in prescription entry, picking, labeling and preparing medication orders for pharmacist verification and maintaining pharmacy records.Physical Demands
