Lead Radio DispatcherTransdev in San Diego- Chula Vista/El Cajon is hiring a Lead Radio Dispatcher.  The Lead Radio Dispatcher coordinates and disseminates information to Radio Dispatchers, Coach Operators and Supervisors and other pertinent staff involved in helping to provide on-time service of coaches on routes.   This position is based in San Diego, CA in supporting the MTS Contract.   Transdev is proud to offer:  Competitive compensation package of  $29.00-$30.24 per hour Benefits include:Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 7 daysHolidays: 7 standard Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. The above represents the standard San Diego Policy Key Responsibilities: The Lead Radio Dispatcher uses a GPS CAD/AVL system to proactively manage the day-to-day on the road operations of transit service delivered by Transdev. Lead Radio Dispatcher provides verbal direction to Radio Dispatchers, Bus Operators, Road Supervisors and others. Proactively intervenes, using all available resources, to ensure that the safest high-quality service is provided. Collaborates with the local Transdev operating divisions and the Client regarding; service interruptions, on time performance issues, detours, bus stop concerns, lost & found items, service capacity and other needs. Documents in various data base systems, information on service incidents including; accidents, medical/first responder, mechanical defects/road calls, full & passing events, etc. Works with MTS Code Compliance and local law enforcement services as needed to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for passengers. Continuously reviews system performance display monitors and communicates with drivers that are off schedule, off route, late starting trips or off headway. Uses standby Buses and other resources to alleviate headway bunching, over capacity, potential lost service due to mechanical failure or service incidents.Sends messages or calls to specific drivers/routes/areas regarding service needs, unplanned detours, missing persons, lost articles. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required  Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger endorsement and Air brake endorsement required or the ability to obtain one  3 or more years of relevant transit supervisory experience required  Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations.   Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant database programs  Good written and oral communication skills  Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
