Lead Registered Behavior Technician

The Lead Behavioral Technician works with the BCBA to develop programs, goals, care plans, and other materials for clients. Additionally, the Lead Behavioral Technician will also participate in training new Behavioral Technicians and supporting existing Behavioral Technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention to children with Autism and other behavioral disorders in the home and school setting as outlined by the Behavioral Change Plan

• Develops and creates programs, goals, materials, and BCP for clients with the supervision of BCBA

• Develops and creates training and educational materials for use by other Technicians with the supervision of a BCBA

• Trains new technicians; offers support and shadows as necessary

• Provides job-specific direction and guidance to other Technicians

• Serves as a mentor to Technicians when struggling with or seeking advice about cases and/or administrative processes

• Periodically takes on-call duties to answer questions and provide guidance/support to Technicians outside of regular work hours

• Provides support and education to families

• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in/or accepted to a BCBA or BCaBA Program

• Must have completed the BACB required 40-hour training program

• One years of experience providing services for children with development disabilities and/or challenging behavior

• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

• Computer proficiency required

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

• Reports potential violations of company policy, Code of Conduct, and/or applicable laws and regulations to the company hotline, thorough the chain of command, to the Compliance and Ethics Department, or through other channels made available by the company for reporting potential violations

• Promotes an environment in which other employees are encouraged to report potential violations

• As appropriate, provides input and suggestions regarding areas in which policies, procedures, workflows, and/or controls can be improved to enhance compliance
