As a Lead Reliability Engineer, you will conduct dismantles of ESP equipment, evaluate pertinent information related to the failure, conduct root cause failure analysis and prepare report. You will be engaged with internal review boards in supporting the overall service quality strategy.

As a Lead Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Follow BH’s policies on HSE and compliance. BH wishes to ensure each employee goes home at the end of the day safely. Our goal is 365 Perfect HSE daysDisassemble and inspect failed ESP components with a detailed thoroughness to help identify what failed and why it failedProvide detailed teardown findings along with key photographs by the following business day after the dismantle to the Permian Reliability ManagerProvide Root Cause Analysis and Dismantle and Inspection reports of failed electric submersible pumping (ESP) systems for all Permian witnessed and non-witnessed requests within 10 business days after the dismantle, excluding investigations that require external support (then the goal is 30 days)Conduct Root Cause Failure analyses using industry standards such as the 5 Whys, Causality method, FEMA, and Cause-and-Effect TreesMaintain all dismantled wells within BHGE’s FRACAS database, utilizing the DMAIC process for continuous process improvement of run life and ESP equipment performanceHelp coordinate ESP teardown scheduling for Permian ESP and HPump failures by direct communication with the Shop, Account Coordinator and Reliability Team Members to agree to witnessed dates and start up timeSupport the Permian Reliability Manager in regards to PSDI (Product and Service Delivery Impact), short run failures, and chronic incident resolution: must include recommended corrective actionsSupport Internal Review Boards to investigate Warranty incidentsSupport Sales during Customer Failure Reviews supported by Root Cause or DIFA reports and statistical overviews. Provide concrete recommendations to increase run livesProvide statistical analyses of Run Lives, Root Causes, and Failures by component typeIdentify areas of improvement through the analysis of warranty issues, internal audits, and customer complaintsIn coordination with Corrective Action Boards, help establish and ensure that preventative actions are implemented and corrective actions are taken to resolve ESP system failuresHandle special projects related to increasing run lives and equipment performance as assignedKeep current all Achieve Training modules

To be successful in this role you will

Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Production, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical EngineeringHave a minimum of 2 years of experience in ESP Reliability for a Major Service Company or OperatorSolids technical writing and presentation skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impactAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEffective problem identification and solution skillsProven analytical and organizational ability
