The incumbent is a proven thought leader, a consensus builder, and an integrator of people, processes, and technology. **Job** **Summary** The Salesforce Data Engineering Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of Salesforce-related data intensive applications that support Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW). This role provides subject matter expertise and accountability for our highly integrated Informatica CC360 Master Data Management solution hosted within Salesforce and collaborates with MVW’s Global Technology (GT) functional teams to design, promote, and deliver innovative data solutions using various technologies. Collaborates with vendors and managed service provider (MSP) partners for projects and processes. Provides level 3 incident and service request support. Guides level 1 and level 2 associates and MSP representatives. **Expected** **Contributions** + Partners with Business Analysts and Architects to understand the desired new features or business capabilities needed. + Translates business requirements and architectural direction documents into technical solution documents and diagrams that contribute to an overall bid package. Technical solution documents and diagrams serve as the blueprint of what will be developed (coded) by the supplier. + Designs sound, scalable, and performant data solutions for our Salesforce ecosystem in alignment with our enterprise data management objectives, applying knowledge of information architecture such as data sourcing, integration/movement, persistence, master data management, metadata management and semantic reconciliation, data governance, security, and delivery. + Develops and documents data migration and data integration strategies and plans. Support data migration and integration activities in the context of Salesforce projects and normal operation. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability at time of migration and ongoing. + Guides development of reporting and dashboarding capabilities leveraging Salesforce and related data as necessary, in support of Business and GT needs. + Works with others to review/develop supplier bids and proposed work orders. + Reviews technical designs from the supplier or develops solution engineering documents as needed. + Provides oversight and approval of supplier developed designs and test plans. + Works closely with Project Delivery roles to establish overall project management measures and delivery requirements. + Reviews supplier work product to ensure alignment to approved design specifications and that delivered solution aligns to MVW policy and MVW Application Development best practices. + As needed, provides advanced support (level 3) during production incidents to reduce the outage and shares knowledge with Supplier to allow Supplier to resolve future issues independently. + Contributes to MVW Best Practices Library by creating or enhancing standards. + Performs other similar duties as assigned. **Candidate** **Profile** **Education** + Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline or equivalent work experience. **Certifications Preferred** + Any database-related certification is a plus, as a means of demonstrating data development knowledge generally (e.g. Azure Data Engineer Associate, Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate, PostgreSQL 12 Associate Certification, etc.) + Any MDM-related certification is a plus, as a means of demonstrating MDM domain knowledge generally (e.g. Informatica Master Data Management Developer, SAP Master Data Governance Associate, etc) + Any relevant Salesforce certifications are a plus (e.g. Admin, Platform Dev I/II, Integration Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Data Cloud). **Experience** + 5-8 years of experience developing data solutions using typical data integration and data transformation solutions. Informatica IDMC experience is ideal, but experience in other similar tools could also be leveraged (e.g. Microsoft SSIS, etc). + 2+ years of experience supporting Master Data Management processes in a highly integrated environment. Informatica CC360 experience is ideal, but experience in other similar tools could also be leveraged (e.g. IBM Infosphere, Informatica C360, SAP MDM, etc). + Experience operating in a globally sourced operating model leveraging suppliers for Application Development services. + Experiencing using applications such as Atlassian Jira. + Experience designing, delivering, and extending enterprise scale Salesforce applications is desirable. **Skills/Attributes** + **Analytical and Strategic Thinking** + Strong data analytical skills are required. + Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot any existing system issues and proactively avoid future issues. + **Technical** + Design and development of data solutions leveraging Informatica CC360, Salesforce Apex & Flows, Heroku Connect, etc. + Support Master Data Management processes in a highly integrated environment. + Query and Modify data leveraging strong hands-on experience with SQL. + Good understanding of enterprise reporting and analytics tools and approaches. + Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of developed applications. + Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting data applications to identify and resolve issues effectively.
