Role Value Proposition: As a Lead Salesforce platform engineer, you will be responsible for the strategic design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Salesforce solutions for MetLife’s Customer Solutions Center. You will lead the architecture and delivery of complex Salesforce projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive solutions from concept to completion. You will also act as a delivery and solution lead, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities: * Architecting and Designing Solutions: Lead the architectural design and development of Salesforce solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. * Delivery Leadership: Oversee the delivery of Salesforce projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. * Solution Leadership: Drive the solution design process, collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions. * Developing Solutions on the Salesforce Service Cloud Platform: Create and implement enterprise-level web and backend solutions. * User Requirements Collection and Documentation: Lead the collection and documentation of user requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs. * Analyzing and Driving Solutions: Analyze, design, and drive solutions for major components and features. * Ensuring Code Quality: Ensure secure, high-quality code across the entire team. * Production Management: Investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests. * Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure successful project delivery. * Cross-functional team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions. Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Required: * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. * 10+ years in software engineering and application development within the Salesforce platform. * Experience in leading the offshore team. * Salesforce certifications, like Salesforce Architect, Platform App Builder, and AI Specialist. * Proven experience in architecting and delivering complex, cloud-based Salesforce solutions including Sales, Service clouds, Einstein Implementation, Agent Force, and other AI features. * Proficiency with web languages such as JavaScript, Typescript, and PHP. * Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL. * Proficiency with modern web frameworks such as Node.js, AngularJS, or VueJS. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams. Preferred: * Experience with DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps, Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies. * Experience with Git-based repositories such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos. * Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services: Functions, Kubernetes, CosmosDB, Storage, App Service. * Knowledge of modern Identity and Access Management and general AppSec practices. * Experience in working in a Matrix organization. * Experience in working on a fast-paced project.
