Lead School Psychologist Role MissionThe School Psychologist (LSSP) Regional Lead will support, coach, and develop high quality LSSPs who serve as the Special Education liaisons on their assigned campuses. The LSSP Regional Lead models optimal multi-disciplinary collaboration by establishing and fostering relationships with Special Education team members, campus leaders, teachers, students, and families to close the achievement gap for our students. The LSSP Regional Lead will create a powerful learning environment for LSSPs and will support them in tracking their progress towards organizational and departmental goals. The LSSP Regional Lead's ultimate goal will be to lead, invest and retain LSSPs by focusing on IDEA’s vision, mission, core values, and goals to guarantee success as an IDEA Special Education team member.  The School Psychologist (LSSP) reports directly to the Regional Director Special Programs and works in close partnership with campus leaders at the assigned campuses. This role involves some minor travel between campuses. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise regional School Psychologists Location:This is a full-time position located in Austin. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate.  What You’ll Do – Accountabilities Essential Duties:Monitor/audit compliance processes are being implemented by the LSSPs/Educational Diagnosticians in their regionAssist in the identification and selection of the LSSPs/Educational Diagnosticians for their region as an integral member of the interview committeeCoach and develop LSSPs/Educational Diagnosticians using the LSSP/Educational Diagnostician rubricCollaborate with Special Program staff to provide high-quality opportunities for professional development based on regional team needs (Special Education, Section 504, Response to Intervention and Critical Student Intervention)Supervise up to 2 LSSP InternsManage fully licensed LSSPs/Educational Diagnosticians  What You Bring – Competencies Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of procedures for assessing achievement and intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functions for education purposes, including cross-battery evaluation practicesKnowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventionsKnowledge of psycho-social developmentStrong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and studentsExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities Required experience:Master’s degree in psychology from accredited college or universityValid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology granted by the Texas State Board of Examiners of PsychologistsMinimum of 3 years as a School Psychologist What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits:Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $94,700 and $111,300, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.  Additionally, we offer medical, dental, and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan.
