Lead Senior Accountant
**Job Description:** Envista Holdings is looking for a Lead Senior Accountant to support our growing presence in Costa Rica. The Lead Senior Accountant will oversee a team that is responsible for US GAAP accounting and reporting for the operations in Costa Rica. The Lead Senior Accountant will be responsible for compliance and implementation of internal control policies and procedures. The position is based in San Jose, Costa Rica and reports to the Director of North America Accounting in the United States. **Job Requirements:** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Lead month-end closing activities and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met. + Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and review necessary journal entries for properly stated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy. + Analyze financial statements to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to summarize and interpret the current and projected financial position of the company. Communicate these findings through written narratives and oral presentations to management. + Ensure overall SOX compliance for corporate accounting. + Assist in the preparation of reporting packages, as required, to comply with corporate financial reporting requirements and statutory regulations. + Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with company policy. Review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items. + Manage and oversee work performed by Staff Accountant + Manage payroll accounting + Document and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures and modify as necessary. + Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors. + Liaison between Costa Rica entities and headquarters to support US GAAP, compliance and company policy inquiries. + Submit recommendations for improving the company’s accounting processes. + Special projects, ad-hoc reports, and analysis as required. **Education and/or Experience** + 5 to 7 years related experience, minimum 3 years in a multinational corporation or global accounting firm. + Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (MBA and/or CPA preferred). + Public audit experience a plus. **Skills:** + Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel). + Large company experience with sophisticated ERP system (Oracle and HFM a plus). + Working knowledge of local statutory accounting standards + Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX. + Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and do what it takes to meet deadlines. + Outstanding written and verbal communications, analytical, planning, and teamwork skills. + Outstanding people skills with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization and with many diverse individuals and cultures. **Personal Characteristics and Traits** + Ability to work well under pressure with strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude + Possess a very high sense of urgency + Ability to build strong rapport with associates at all levels of the organization + Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills and be a team player + Ability to quickly react to changing priorities + Must be hands-on and detail-oriented but able to see the big picture + A continuous improvement mentality a must + Possess high energy and able to handle conflict well **Operating Company:** Corporate Envista is a global family of more than 30 trusted dental brands, united by a shared purpose: to partner with professionals to improve lives.
