Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Juniper BRAS (Broadband Remote Access Server) L2 Engineer to provide advanced support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for Juniper BRAS solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong networking expertise, experience in ISP environments, and a deep understanding of broadband technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide L2 support for Juniper BRAS platforms (e.g., E-Series, MX Series with PPPoE, LNS, DHCP, and subscriber management). Troubleshoot and resolve subscriber connectivity issues, authentication failures, and performance degradation. Work on configuration, deployment, and optimization of Juniper BRAS systems. Handle RADIUS, AAA, DHCP, PPPoE, and L2TP configurations and integrations. Perform packet analysis and debugging using tools like Wireshark, Junos traceoptions, and logs. Collaborate with L3 engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams for complex issue resolution. Work with Juniper TAC for escalations and advanced troubleshooting. Conduct network performance monitoring and proactive capacity planning. Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base for internal teams. Participate in on-call rotations and support shifts as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

3-6 years of experience in ISP/Telco networks with a focus on BRAS & broadband technologies. Strong knowledge of Juniper MX Series, subscriber management, and Junos OS. Experience with RADIUS, AAA, DHCP, PPPoE, L2TP, and subscriber authentication. Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging network issues using logs and packet captures. Understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6 networking concepts. Hands-on experience with Juniper routers and switches. Juniper certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS-SP, JNCIP-SP (preferred). Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
