In this role, you will lead or contribute to the design, development, and deployment of APIs and applications using modern technologies and frameworks. The ideal candidate is proficient in .NET Core programming, API development, microservices architecture, and has a strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, containerization, and Kubernetes. The Team: The team is dedicated to building a platform that serves as a provider of information, benchmark prices, analytics, and essential intelligence for energy and commodities market products under S&P Global Commodity Insights. Our work revolves around creating scalable platforms, APIs, and applications, ensuring seamless performance and reliability to meet market demands. Collaborating closely with the Product Owner, the team delivers solutions that drive value and innovation for our customers in the energy and commodities sectors. The Impact: Bridging the gap between technology and business by directly interacting with the business team to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that add value to our business customers. Contributing to the development of highly business-centric and revenue-generating applications. Collaborate with multiple IT/Business teams to plan and design end-to-end data flow according to industry standards Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with product owners, technology partners to understand and clarify requirements. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Platforms, APIs and applications using .NET Core. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Database support, DevOps, QE, and Product, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices. Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Mentor junior developers, promote knowledge sharing, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Utilize AWS cloud services to design and deploy robust, secure, and scalable solutions. Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and proactively recommend improvements to existing systems and processes. What we’re looking for: Basic Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field with 6+ years' experience in software engineering Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including complete software development life cycles, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Microsoft stack experience: C#, .Net core, JavaScript, SQL, React.Js Fundamental knowledge of data types, data structures, data sets, data access and software design patterns Solid understanding of various technologies and systems such as HTTP, REST APIs, Distributed System, Services, Messaging, Queues, Caching, SQL / NoSQL databases Expertise in web services, Rest and WebAPI.
