Job responsibilities
Work alongside existing product teams leveraging AI technologies to enhance the customer experience, drive efficiencies and build innovative automation across the entire database product line. Provide engineering leadership to educate existing teams how they should be using AI effectively, growing our ability to leverage AI technology across the organization. Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge of application, data, cloud and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Advanced hands-on skills in Python and or Java programming. A fundamental understanding of AI, ML and LLM concepts, terminology and technology, preferably with hands on experience. A fundamental understanding of databases and database technologies. Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently. A self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, agile setting. Have clear and effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate seamlessly across multi-disciplined teams. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Hands on experience working with database technologies Experience building, deploying Machine Learning models, and the ML Lifecycle Exposure to cloud technologies
