As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Employee Experience team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Define, communicate and rationalize requirements into software to be delivered and proactively working with key stakeholders including architects, product owners, and customers to build the best in class solutions Proactively build enterprise scale and customer grade engineering solutions to deliver an improved employee experience Manage existing system to ensure risk, compliance, security and technical lifecycle maintenance is managed Engineer employee website and system to meet business objectives and client needs Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Java, Kotlin, or similar languages. Experience in web development using Angular, React, or similar frameworks, showcasing the ability to build and maintain dynamic and responsive web applications. Demonstrated experience as an individual contributor in software engineering, with a strong business acumen and a focus on delivering consumer-grade solutions. Extensive knowledge of the engineering best practices, technical design and product development lifecycle In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
