Title and Summary
Lead Software EngineerOverview•\tMastercard’s Employee Access Management program is responsible for providing end-to-end services to support both physical and digital access by internal employees to Mastercard systems and applications.
•\tThe Certificate Lifecycle Management Engineering (CLM) team under Shared Components is focused on onboarding new cutting-edge technologies within the Certificate Management space, enhancing existing services through automation, and executing on our strategy of access as an enabler for the business.
•\tThis role is a technical leader on a team which is focused on delivering new or enhanced certificate lifecycle management initiatives for our customers.
•\tThis position includes partnering with PMTs for implementation of technical solutions, detailing costs and time estimates for initiatives, mentoring junior team members through all phases of the software development lifecycle, and ensuring compliance of audit requirements proactively.
•\tCandidates must be able to obtain a deep technical understanding of the applications/systems that they are working on and must be willing to dig in and ask challenging questions to make sure that plans are executed efficiently.
•\tCandidates should have a strong interest in Corporate Security.
•\tCandidates must demonstrate strong technical leadership and ability to engage in out-of-the-box problem solving.
•\tCandidate will be responsible for researching alternative technical solutions for changing business needs.

Role
•\tLead implementation efforts of new products and services with strong communication to impacted business owners.
•\tDesign, develop, and deliver simple, (re)usable, service enabled, maintainable, and scalable security solutions that meet business requirements in adherence with Mastercard standards, processes and best practices.
•\tProactively identify and prioritize cross-application synergy, system enhancements, and automation of manual processes.
•\tContribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within functional area of expertise.
•\tLead review sessions of technical requirements.
•\tLead day to day system development and maintenance activities of the technical team.
•\tPartner with Business Operations (Biz Ops), Security Engineers and Technical Operation (Tech Ops) teams to ensure delivery of services aligns with governance controls and support requirements.
•\tEnsure operational readiness of platforms by participating in discussions on planning, testing, and implementation.
•\tCoordinate with multiple teams to ensure platform goals are met.
•\tResearch and perform PoC’s (Proof of Concept) on current and upcoming technologies and application appropriate frameworks to improve security and development practices.
•\tCoach junior level employees on software development and security best practices
•\tPerform quality inspections and walkthroughs throughout the SDLC including requirements review, architecture review, design review, code review and security review to ensure compliance with Mastercard standards
All About You
•\tExpert understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
•\tHigh-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
•\tSuccessful track record in software development, security engineering, and/or DevOps.
•\tExpert critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•\tExtensive experience with the following technologies and frameworks: PowerShell, Apache, GIT, Node.JS, Angular JS, React JS, Springboot, Jenkins, CHEF, MS SQL, , BitBucket, Jfrog Artifactory, CyberArk, Splunk, Dynatrace, Hashicorp, Microsoft .net framework.
•\tStrong technical background (Windows, UNIX, databases, network, web applications).
•\tStrong understanding of PKI concepts for certificate management.
•\tIntermediate Corporate Security skills, specifically to Certificate Management and Code Signing is a plus.
•\tIntermediate skills in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) transformation practices.
•\tFamiliarity with delivering solutions which comply with industry regulations (PCI, GLBA, SOX).
•\tFamiliarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
