As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java/Spark/Spring to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams  Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality  Build Microservices that will run on the bank’s internal cloud and the public cloud platform  Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones  Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team  Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services  Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, to improve delivery flow across product and technology 

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Experience in Java\J2EE, Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, Spring Boot, Database PL/SQL working knowledge, Kafka, Kubernetes, CI\CD, designing features, AWS cloud experience, Production issue debugging and fixing  Understanding of architecture and design across all systems and working proficiency in developmental toolsets  Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices  Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages  Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability  Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Performance tuning, AWS Stacks like EKS and EMR  Familiarity with modern back-end technologies  Exposure to cloud technologies  Exposure to Big data technologies
