Lead Software Engineer- C#/.Net

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, Neovest Technology Direct,, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Utilize innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems. Write secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to ensure quality and performance. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the operational stability of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and their applicability within existing systems and information architecture. Foster communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and cutting-edge technologies. Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Develop and test C#/.NET applications for the Windows environment.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience. Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET development. Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods. Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.). In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems. Practical experience with cloud-native technologies. Proficient in SQL.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Hands-on experience with the .NET Framework (in addition to .NET Core). Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). Experience with Entity Framework and ADO.NET. Experience with T-SQL and SQL Server. Experience with multithreading. Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Experience with Microsoft Azure.
