In this role, you will:
Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field10+ years of experience in Java software development, with a focus on Java 11 or later versionsStrong knowledge of Java fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented programmingExperience with Java frameworks, such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Java EEProficiency in database management systems like Oracle, Mango DB or PostgreSQLExperience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or DevOpsExperience with cloud-based platforms like PCF, GCP, AWS or AzureExperience with Realtime Messaging systems like MQ, Kafka or FlinkWorking knowledge on container applications like Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShiftExperience with Microservices architecture and design patterns like MVC, Structural etc.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutionsJob Expectations:
