As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Java, Python etc. Hands-on experience with AWS EKS, AWS RDS, Lambda, S3, EC2, and OpenSearch. Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, mobile, etc.) Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight Experience leading technology projects Experience managing technologists Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
