Job responsibilities

Develop and engineer cloud runtime compute products and solutions with a security-first approach. Ensure compliance with the firm's security control policies and procedures throughout the product lifecycle, utilizing technologies such as Terraform, Rego, Sentinel, GoLang, Python, and other languages as requiredProvide technical guidance and direction to support business objectives, collaborating with technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDrive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesOperate independently and adapt to changing project needs as an internal consultant focused on delivering results and adding valueAdvocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices within the Software Development Life CycleInfluence peers and project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologiesActively contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, fostering a positive and collaborative organizational environment.
 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on Cloud concepts and applied experienceHands-on experience with AWS, including solution architecture and engineering with a strong focus on container runtime compute platformsAdvanced skills in more than one programming languagesFlexibility and adaptability in learning new skills and technologies to meet evolving project demandsAbility to troubleshoot problems independently and learn from failuresStrong organizational skills and effective communication abilitiesKnowledge of recent AI developments and their application in cloud environmentsAbility to coach and mentor team members to develop their skills and talents, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of JPMorgan Chase's security control procedures and standardsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements and applications within the financial industryKnowledge of networking and routing in cloud environments, including the ability to create and manage network policies effectivelyExperience in Agile methodologies, particularly KanbanAssociate level certification or higher, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate
