About the role: Cvent’s Research and Development division is currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Lead Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning & Data Science Group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing both the front-end and back-end components of innovative data science toolkits and solutions. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Java, Python, and Infrastructure as Code. You should be a self-starter capable of taking ambiguous requirements and coming up with a viable solution. You should also be able to design scalable, easy-to-use, high-performance applications that productionize our data science R&D work to be used by both Cvent internal teams and Cvent Products. You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers and software engineers to design, build, maintain and support our data science R&D solutions into production. In This Role, You Will: Contribute directly to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, secure and reliable code that powers the frond-end and back-end of our data science solutions. Showcase strong architecture and design instincts to collaborate with data scientists and other cross functional teams to develop and execute on roadmap. Support consuming teams as they adopt, upgrade, and utilize the developed data science toolkits. Proactively stays ahead of emerging technologies and trends to anticipate future challenges and opportunities. Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern web development frameworks. Ensure that all security and data protection measures are integrated into the software development lifecycle. Consistently look for ways to remove friction to ensuring a desirable experience for our customers of the data science toolkits. Here's What You Need: Bachelors+ in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience 7 to 9 years of Software Development experience Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills. Highly proficient in at least one object-oriented language: Java or Python. Highly proficient in JavaScript/Typescript and React/Redux/Angular for web application development. Proficient in CI/CD concepts, knowing how to configure and manage pipelines to ensure that software updates are deployed quickly, safely, and efficiently. Experience with RESTful Web Services and API development using Spring/Dropwizard or any another framework. Experience in contributing to the architecture and design (Design Patterns, Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Security) Some experience with Cloud Computing platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure Cloud and services like AWS CloudFront, ECS, S3, Lambda and others. Proven ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment and result oriented culture. Preferred Skills Experience with one or more of the databases: SQL Server, Snowflake, Couchbase, AWS DynamoDB or other NoSQL technologies is a plus. Familiarity with JavaScript/Typescript and React/Redux/Angular for web application development is a plus. Familiarity with data science concepts, machine learning pipelines, and the ability to work closely with data scientists is a plus. Familiarity with Databricks ML platform is a plus.
