This position's location is in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, will be worked a Hybrid Work From Home scheme (3 days at the office).

In this role, you will:

Lead the design of new technology initiatives aligned with future state platforms, supporting business goals and drivers. Set the technical direction on specific projects by delivering implementable architecture designs that account for technology modernization in a practical and iterative way. Make balanced decisions that account for time-to-market, reduction of technical debt, supportability, and business needs. Identify, promote, define, and design practical and innovative technology solutions in line with business and technology strategies managing from qualified idea, concept/business requirements through design. Promote the most effective and efficient means of delivering technology products and services through reuse, sharing, buying vs. building, etc. Hire a small group of engineers who will be embedded within line-of-business development teams to ensure solutions are built as designed.  As needed, create working code prototypes to demonstrate proper design principles and technology best practices. Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure conformance to proposed designs and general best practices.  Help research and prototype emerging technologies that advance digital transformation. Manage and ensure compliance with Chubb technology platforms roadmap and architectural principles. At least 12 years of experience in software development and/or application architecture. At least 8 years of engineering/development experience. At least 2 years of system integration and/or data integration experience. At least 2 years of experience in API design and/or data/object modeling. At least 2 years in a lead role. Past experience with hands-on coding in a modern programming language (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, etc.), either for proofs-of-concept or production delivery. At least 1 year of DevOps experience. Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Engineering degrees preferred. Ability to work with development teams closely together to review code, debug issues, and conduct performance testing to build efficient and performant applications. Experience in cloud solution design and implementation of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and hybrid models.Insurance or Financial Services background a plus.
