The Lead Specialist for Graphic Design is responsible for providing creative direction and overseeing the conceptualization, design, and execution of a wide range of visual assets, including digital and print materials, branding elements, marketing collateral, and web graphics. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that design projects effectively communicate the brand's message and enhance its visual identity.
The Lead Specialist will also provide mentorship to a team of graphic designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment while maintaining high standards of design excellence.
Creative Development & Project Support
Work on minor to complex graphic design projects: campaigns, customer-facing materials for MIM HK
Oversee the pre- and post-production phases of design project
Develop visual concepts that align with brand strategy and marketing objectives
Pitch ideas and design works to clients in meetings without assistance or back-up
Collaborate with other Seniors and Leaders of the team to conduct skills and knowledge re-alignment trainings
Communicate with clients to understand their design needs and objectives
Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service
Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning sessions
Quality Assurance
Perform quality checks on own work for all graphic design outputs
Ensure all designs meet quality standards and are consistent with brand guidelines
Implement feedback and revisions promptly and accurately.
Maintain a high standard of design excellence and attention to detail.
Coaching and Mentoring
Provide creative feedback to other one-off graphic designers based on their outputs, if necessary
Collaborate with other Seniors and Leaders of the team to conduct skills and knowledge re-alignment trainings.
Collaborate with SMEs to conduct skills and knowledge re-alignment trainings
Foster a collaborative environment within the design team
Reporting & Portfolio Management
Manage projects in JIRA, pull reports and data if necessary
Fulfill mid-year and year-end performance evaluations and provides feedback when necessary
Continuous Improvement
Provide input during process improvement meetings
Attend Project Retrospectives for major projects
Complete mandatory trainings assigned by the organization
Complete target learning hours per year
