Lead Specialist - Change Management (Finance)

About the Role

The position is primarily responsible to drive and facilitate FCB Change Management Process in ensuring Finance Production Change Request (PCR) for the Finance Application Systems and Business Processes, are recorded and evaluated, authorized, prioritized, documented and reviewed in a controlled manner to reduce risk associated with completing of the changes on the implementation of changes and support the delivery of these changes, as well as ensuring timely delivery of the changes. The person should have a clear understanding of business needs, technical development and support functions.

As a Lead Specialist - Change Management (Finance), you will have the outstanding opportunity to drive and facilitate our Finance Change Board (FCB) Change Management Process, ensuring the successful implementation of changes to our Finance Application Systems and Business Processes. 

1. Drive and facilitate Finance Change Board (FCB) Change Management Process in ensuring changes are recorded and then evaluated, authorized, prioritized, detailed and reviewed in a controlled manner to reduce risk associated with completing changes

2. Clear understanding of business needs, technical development and support functions are needed to assist FCB in:

Implement the evaluation of a proposed change in terms of its benefit, its cost, and risk to the business, and the implications of the change to overall Finance systems and business processes; and

Gate keeper ensuring that local changes are aligned with group-wide data models, business processes and systems across the organization

3. Accountable to assign PCRs to the respective Group Business Analyst and follow up the status in order to discuss it in the FCB meeting.

4. Owns and responsible to update all documentation in relation to FCB Change Management Standard and its supporting documents

5. Responsible to update PCRs status and the priority in Production Change Request (PCR) Platform (web-based workflow approval system).

6. Take ownership and handle the Production Change Request (PCR) Platform such system monitoring, bug fixing, etc which include to update the user access right for the respective Group and Local Business Owners/Analysts or any authorised user

7. Focal person in ensuring smooth communication between internal and external parties involved during change request evaluation discussion.

8. Responsible for governance including gate reviews, quality control, compliance to the standard of the PCRs/Change Request for audit purposes

9. Accountable for all the administrative functions associated with the FCB meeting includes maintaining FCB meeting schedule, prepare the agenda, prepare meeting minutes, update FCB Standard, its procedures guide and relevant supporting documents

10. To own and/or drive other matters related to the Finance Change Board (FCB) Change Management deliverables

Job Requirements:

Degree in Business (Accounting/Accountancy/Finance) or equivalent such as Certified Professional (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW etc)

3-5 years working in Accounts or Finance with Shared Services or MNC environment.

Proven understanding in Accounting or Finance Application/System improvement process that involve IT Change Request (CR) either as Continuous Improvement (CI), Project or BAU mode.

Experience in managing multiple teams and capabilities to deliver sophisticated project scope

High level of communication skill to various level of stakeholders are encouraged. Oral and written skill is highly required.

Knowledge of using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc to produce correspondence and presentations and to maintain various governing and reference documents

Specific Business Knowledge requirement:

Change Request Management (CR)

Finance system landscape

Knowledge on any the following is an added advantage:

SAP System on any of its applications module and the extended ecosystem

Spend Management System such as Ariba and Concur

Inter-bank setup such as SWIFT

Power-Platform or Power Apps
