The Global Science & Technology (S&T) division provides technical expertise to our animal health manufacturing organizations, leveraging science, technology and innovation to ensure new product commercialization and supply continuity. It continuously improves processes and analytics to meet customer demands through manufacturing excellence. A new Global Analytical Technology Solutions (ATS) team has been established to oversee analytical activities across the Animal Health network, encompassing both Small (ATS-Pharma) and Large (ATS-Bio) Molecules. Within this framework, the upcoming ATS-Bio Technical Life Cycle Management Biomaterials team will focus on leveraging the quality, robustness, stability and reproducibility of biomaterials used in Quality Control (QC) assays to ensure uninterrupted, unconstrained, on-time supply.
Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Director of ATS-Bio EU/APAC, you will spearhead the development and implementation of technical guidelines aimed at globally harmonizing procedures for the manufacturing, characterization, replacement, qualification, stability testing, storage, and documentation of biomaterials. You will be liaising with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Analytical Technology Solutions (ATS), Research and Development (R&D), BioTechnology Solution (BTS), Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Regulatory Affairs (RA). You translate best practises and evidence-based scientific knowledge regarding technical life cycle management of biomaterials into global guidelines, and you support the implementation of harmonised procedures into daily practise. In addition, your role is to drive continuous improvement related to technical life cycle management of Biomaterials. You will be SME and coach for the organisation on technical life cycle management of Biomaterials.
Your profile
A completed Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.Strong and relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in areas related to biomaterials and analytical processes.Demonstrated direct or indirect leadership responsibilities, showcasing strong people management skills, effective collaboration, change management capabilities, and the ability to influence decisions across organizational levels.Comprehensive knowledge of vaccine analytical technologies (e.g., immunoassays, virus titration assays, immunofluorescence assays), expertise in analytical methodologies for quality control testing of biomaterials, and technical knowledge regarding production, purification, qualification, and handling of biomaterials.Strong (bio)analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects effectively.Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills in English and preferably Dutch, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, focused manner, and effectively manage diverse stakeholder interests.Living at a reasonable distance of Boxmeer.What we offer
