Lead Specialist - Maintenance

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$21.27 - $35.46

Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance in multiple technical areas such as industrial mechanics, instrumentation, welding and electricity.  Plan, schedule, and evaluate maintenance work to ensure timely, cost-effective completion. Manage and estimate work orders, determining execution details and prioritizing business needs.

Schedule routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance throughout our manufacturing site, using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS-GMARS)Work closely with all operations departments to determine needs, schedules, and priorities for maintenance personnel.Effectively communicate with all area equipment owners, supervisors, craftsmen, and customers to ensure all preventive, predictive and non-emergency corrective maintenance is planned to maximize craft time utilization and minimize downtime to operations.Maintain and monitor due dates for all preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure 100% compliance.Assist with delivery of new assets as it relates to job plan creation, spare parts, and timing of PMs to align with overall annual schedule, as well as understand and communicate the impact of required labor and spend to maintenance management.Work closely with maintenance supervision to assist in understanding of staffing requirements to ensure all maintenance work needs are met.Interpret performance data and develop periodic reports summarizing compliance on maintenance schedule.Assist in creation and help maintain maintenance job plans for all preventative, predictive, and non-emergency corrective maintenance, showing the sequence of steps required, required materials/tools, number of man hours required, safety precautions, required PPE, etc., needed to successfully schedule and complete each job.Look for opportunities to understand points of failure and eliminate chronic maintenance needs, increasing efficiency across the entire organization.

Education and Experience

Associate degree or higher in Instrumentation, Industrial Mechanics or another related technical field.Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling activities is highly desired. 3-5 years of experience in bulk manufacturing processes or pharmaceutical operations in general, preferred.

Additional Skills and Preferences

Available to support a 7/24 operations in rotating shifts.  May require overtime during peak periods or when additional coverage is required.  May be required to respond to off-hour call-in and emergencies.Read and interpret specifications, drawings, procedures in both English and Spanish.Knowledge in Maximo CMMS software.Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under minimal supervision.Good interpersonal and customer service skillsDecision making skills and sound judgement.Ability to interpret and express ideas in both oral and written form.Teamwork oriented.Candidate must have a strong compliance mindset.Basic Knowledge in MS Office Excel, Power Point and Project Management Software.Bilingual (English/Spanish).
