TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Structural Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
  Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other disciplines to ensure project alignment. Conduct design reviews and participate in value improvement initiatives. Lead and coordinate structural, civil, and geotechnical design efforts within multidisciplinary projects. Develop and review project estimates, schedules, and progress reports. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality output and technical integrity. Perform technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Prepare project schedules, man-hour estimates, and manpower forecasts. Oversee the preparation and review of technical specifications, design criteria, and procurement packages. Develop structural design solutions for various project phases, including conceptual, front-end, and detailed engineering. Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 16 years of experience as a Professional Structural Engineer. Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining and metals industry. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer in a mining and metal project. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Extensive experience with design codes for steel and concrete structures. Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines. Strong project execution skills and experience in interdisciplinary coordination.
