Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Supervisor to lead our Crush Plant team. The Lead Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the team, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and driving operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:Training and Development:Conduct hands-on training for new team membersCreate and update skill set matrices and training progressConduct safety training for new hiresCoordinate and track training sessions with L&D coordinatorDevelop and implement effective training programsOperations and Coordination:Oversee bean receiving and meal load out operationsStandardize and optimize schedules and work processesCoordinate with commercial team, material handling/rail team, and other departmentsEnsure efficient rail loading and meal dumping processesDevelop and implement strategies to achieve high-quality performance and minimize downtimeSafety and Compliance:Conduct regular safety audits and inspectionsIdentify and implement measures to mitigate near misses and prevent accidentsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulationsParticipate in near miss safety team investigationsScheduling and Logistics:Assist in employee scheduling and workflow optimizationCoordinate with WPO/DEC teams to facilitate movement within the refinery areasBack up the superintendent on processing supplies (chemicals)Performance Excellence:Participate in the steering committee and CCD teamCollaborate with the CCD PE team to provide training documents and track progressAssist with standardizing and maintaining operator skills and abilitiesTrain and support new shift supervisors and step-up supervisorsReporting and Documentation:Enter data into Sphera and track progressParticipate in end-of-month inventory and review reportsEnsure completion and filing of monthly inspectionsLeadership and Support:Lead by example and demonstrate leadership skillsProvide guidance and support to team membersBack up the plant superintendent as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in a crushing plant or related industryProven leadership skills and experience in training and developing teamsStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively with team membersFamiliarity with Sphera and other relevant systemsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environmentValid driver's license and reliable transportationPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situationsAbility to navigate the plant and equipment safely
