Job DutiesManages assigned personnel, daily operations, and related activity. Coordinates and oversees the information system activities. Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring and supervision of all surgical scheduling, front desk, and administrative staff. Provides oversight for the regionalized management of surgical scheduling. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the information system practices and procedures and implementing changes as necessary to promote strategic and operational effectiveness.
Coordinates, standardizes, and oversees the case scheduling activities.Oversees the post-op documentation process to ensure an accurate and efficient turnover of charges.Provides supervision of the surgical scheduling, front desk, and administrative support personnel.Responsible for all HR related activities.Participates in the development of performance and quality standards.Evaluates actual performance against standards and implements action plans for improvements.Oversees the development of departmental training and policies to ensure goals and the program are aligned with operational goals.Responds to physician preferences regarding scheduling.Redesigns operational processes and workflow to drive quality and efficiency.Anticipates problems and risks and supports change.Develops work plans and manages the work to meet project milestones through task management, consistent follow through, relationship management and creative organizational problem solving.Assists with the identification, collection, entry, and validation of data.Assists with the development of reports, analysis of data, integrity of master files, and problem resolution related to information system activities.Identifies departmental needs and develops solutions.Evaluates recommended system uses and change requests from users and implements accordingly.Advises, consults and develops guidelines regarding organizational, procedural, and work flow patterns.
