Lead/Sustainment Operations

TMC, a LinQuest company is seeking a Sustainment Lead to join our team in Colorado Springs. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required

The Sustainment Operations Lead will manage sustainment workforce in a way that encourages teamwork, cooperation, and productivity. Responsible for resource calendar, taskings and prioritizations of team. Responsible for schedule of deployment personnel for maintenance support to multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites. Coordinate directly with the Development Lead to deconflict priorities and available support personnel. Assist Technical Lead with prioritized deliverables within the scope of the sustainment functional area.

Responsibilities: 

Provide on-site expertise on SATCOM systems. Oversee the baseline configuration for the enterprise of systems. Provide input to the Program Manager on task & deployment schedules and personnel readiness. Manage professional development for team leads within the sustainment functional area. Provide feedback development for team personnel within the sustainment functional area. Establish standards and processes for management of personnel operational readiness (medical, passport, required training completion, travel arrangements, etc.). Oversee operational parts management for locations and depot spares. Receive input from team members, government sponsors, and other activities within the program to ensure successful integration of components and products. Support oversight of integration activities and fielding of new systems or system updates. Perform routine, non-routine, and complex maintenance on the following sub-systems: communications, networking, antenna, power, timing, signal distribution, trucks, trailers, environmental control, and support equipment. Provide training of personnel in two satellite geolocation and other critical mission areas. Apply technical knowledge to establish standard processes to enable successful troubleshooting and resolution of complex SATCOM problems at various locations. Responsible for adherence to operations, maintenance and organizational procedures and policies throughout the sustainment functional area. Assist with author, review, edit, and recommend changes to technical, procedural, and training documentation. Establish standards and processes to account for and ensure positive control of critical resources. Assist in workplace and personnel safety by identifying risks, mitigating risks and intervenes to prevent mishaps. Provide support (telephonic or otherwise) as required to help isolate and resolve difficult issues. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

8+ years of experience managing personnel. 8+ years of experience two-satellite geolocation operations, training, or system support. 12+ years integrating satellite communication equipment and software.

High school diploma or GED with 12 years of applicable experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 4 year’s applicable experience, OR a Master’s degree with 2 years applicable experience

Possess and maintain an active Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance SATCOM or Wireless/RF Communication Systems experience Substantive knowledge of computer/networking and communications experience Experience working independently and in an integrated team-oriented, collaborative environment with two-satellite geolocation systems Knowledge of space defense systems, military applications of space systems, and a working knowledge of military and ground operations is required. A basic understanding of theories and principles of electrical, mechanical, RF and software systems. Troubleshooting skills for RF and computer network systems. Ability to manage time and resources to meet project goals. Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to react to project to adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment. Excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to interface with customers at a professional level. Demonstrated technical writing skills. Familiarity with Information Assurance. Proficient in MS Office. Possess a United States Passport. Must possess an active driver’s license

Preferred Experience:

Direct experience with the Bounty Hunter weapon system. Expert-level knowledge of two-satellite geolocation and related operational mission area(s). Experience with electronic warfare system and/or subsystem integration. Network Plus Certification, Security Plus Certification and/or Windows & Linux experience. Current SAFe Agilist Certification

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $130,000 to $165,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
