We are hiring an engineer of ServiceNow DevOps with a strong background in technical insight in ServiceNow and experience with delivering projects. This opportunity will support the transformation of our industry standard order and delivery management systems. You will work on the platform team implementing new tools to simplify the use of ServiceNow for our 1000+ developers, 400+ scoped applications, and 10k+ users. The position requires new tools to be created, implementation of OOTB solutions from NOW, and integration of external tools. The position requires close collaboration with U.S based Solution Architects team, Product Management, Business Systems, and Operations teams throughout system development life cycles. To be successful in this role you have an active background in platform support across many modules with a large scale CMDB. When required you will have the capability to engage at a ‘design & code’ level. You will have experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and are expected to have good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will need a deep understanding of agile software methodologies and the ability to balance technical expertise and acumen. Additionally, you will be given opportunity to introduce new modules and idea in Service Now which client and product owners can use and enhance their day-to-day activity. **Key Roles and Responsibilities:** + Provide Architecture, design, development, testing of Out of the box Service Now software Solutions + Support application teams in their use of the platform – create scoped apps, investigate issues, etc. + Deliver new features around CICD, UAM, and platform tools to allow the customer to more easily develop solutions on the platform + Provide root cause analysis for platform failures, performance issues, custom tool failures, and general customer requests + Perform product owner function for the tools they’ve written for the platform + Design, develop and implement ServiceNow solutions using Integration, Flow designer, Orchestration, Custom Application Development, Process Automation and other ServiceNow features and functionalities. + Collaborate with business analysts, process owners and stakeholders to understand the requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions. + Guiding a team or team members with technical knowledge and path forward for implementationFollow the best practices and standards for ServiceNow development and ensure the quality and performance of the deliverables. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow applications and modules, as well as provide support and guidance to end users. + Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases, features and enhancements and leverage them to improve the existing solutions or create new ones. + Provide (technical) leadership to build, motivate, guide, scale, and mentor team members including performance management coaching. + Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings + Leveraging modern technologies such as cloud capabilities from various platforms to provide efficient solutions. + Reusing and scaling components to accommodate future growth and eliminate junk code.Support detailed documentation of systems and features. + Act as liaison between external vendors and internal product, business, engineering, and design teams Required Skills: + 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, configuration and administration. Skills Knowledge and Experience: + CSA – certified system administrator + At least one of CAD certified application developer or CIS certified implementation specialist + 5+ years of experience working with Integration, flow designer, Orchestration, Custom Application Development, Process Automation, notifications and other ServiceNow modules and functionalities. + 5+ years of experience working with Import Set, transform map, table API and Robust Transform Engine + 5+ years of experience in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, MID server etc. (Basic/OAuth) + 5+ years of experience working on complex notification logic. + Deployment experience. + Strong technical leadership and project delivery including via vendors. + Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks and how they are implemented in ServiceNow. + Good understanding of web-based Application Architectures and Application interfaces + Proficiency in client side and server-side Scripting. + Business Rules, Runbook Automation, Workflow development + Reusing and scaling components to accommodate future growth. Applicants will also be expected to have knowledge of and experience with the following non-ServiceNow technologies and processes + Basic Linux or Unix familiarity including basic shell scripting (Bash, CSH, etc.) and common tools such as vi/vim, grep, sed/awk, etc. + Basic Windows administration including PowerShell and/or batch scripting + JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, XML, REST, JSON, SOAP, and related web technologies including common API methods and design patterns + Basic networking and firewall technologies + Agile software development methodology (SCRUM) + ITIL and ITSM certification or similar experience Applicants should have a solid understanding of the following ServiceNow applications, modules, technologies, and functionality + IT Operations Management (ITOM) + IT Service Management (ITSM) + Project Portfolio Management (PPM) + Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM & SAM) + Configuration Management Database (CMDB) + Common Services Data Module (CSDM) + ServiceNow scripting using JavaScript + MID server management + Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration using both LDAP and SAML technologies + HW and SW Asset Discovery + Common NOW development components including data sources, transforms and RTE, Integration Hub ETL, Flow Designer, script includes, scoped applications, update sets, Delegated Development, etc. + Common user access tools such as ACL's and Data Filters Our Lead System Engineering earn between $143,800 - $215,800 annually.
