Roles and Responsibilities

Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability. Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/systemManages interface between components and execution organizations.Responsible for driving Risk & Opportunities within the teams designing the components.Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Provides informal guidance to new team membersDrive GE Hydro Engineering & integration: Core knowledge in BoP-Electrical, Protection and Excitation & other interfacing knowledge with BoP-Mechanical, Control System, Governing, Plant Layout and network (piping, cable tray, duct etc), Other plant utilities and auxiliaries, Generator, Turbine, MIV etcManage all technical interfaces (internal &external)Coordinate with internal customer (supply chain, C&C, Project Management, Quality etc) & External customer (Consortium partners, vendors, customer, service providers etc)Manage action in case of technical deviations and changesOwn the overall technical project scopeRepresent technical aspects in front of customers & partnersParticipate in Site Survey & ensure site survey inputs are well taken care in to design

 

Required Qualifications

This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering;Bachelor’s degree in Electrical from an accredited university or college;Minimum of 8+ years of experience in project execution and engineering design of new and refurbishment of Balance of Plant – Electrical systems;Site experience (Construction & Commissioning) welcomed;Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%;Fluent in English & Portuguese.
