JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a strong **Lead Systems Analyst** to join our **Trading Data Analytics** team. You will provide technology to the firm’s world-class trading and investment professionals, pursuing projects from idea generation and prototyping to validation and production. You will be faced with compelling challenges and encouraged to solve problems by using innovative techniques. You will work with and learn from exceptional investment, trading, and operations professionals through cross-platform, data driven projects and assignments. Ongoing training and development will be provided to further develop and hone your technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Partner with our Global Trading business team to define and develop requirements for a next-generation Data Analytics platform. Interact directly with business partners at all levels of the organization to understand and prioritize needs; analyze and document requirements, prototype solutions
+ Provide thought leadership and direction for team members and consultant partners to ensure that delivery is performed according to standards and in conformity with business requirements
+ Collaborate with global software developers, database architects, vendors, and other IT and business teams to analyze and determine functional specifications and design for new applications and enhancements to existing applications
+ Conceptualize and deliver best-in-class Transaction Cost Analytics (TCA) and data-driven decision-making capabilities to help Traders and Portfolio Managers obtain the best outcomes for our clients.
+ Collaborate with the broader Trading Technology team in leveraging data/analytics in innovative ways as our trading professionals increasingly embrace technology and ‘electronification’
+ Leverage a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and an ability to work with and across various internal teams to execute on that vision
+ Develop deep knowledge and expertise in Wellington specific trading workflows
+ Own and coordinate release management and deployment of new product releases
+ Facilitate resolution of production issues by working with appropriate teams to research problems, track progress and determine and document solutions
+ Stay current with evolving markets, industry trends, and design best practices to ensure systems and team are of highest caliber
QUALIFICATIONS
+ A passion for data and data-driven solutions
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
+ Knowledge of Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) practices, and Trading Analytics across all asset classes
+ Proficiency in reading/writing SQL for data analysis, debugging, and data solution design
+ Experience with Python and Jupyter Notebooks a plus
+ Experience with Big Data technologies including Data Lake modeling/design and implementation
+ Knowledge of Trading Technology, order management systems (OMS) workflows, or asset class specific trading practices and protocols, FIX Trading Protocol is a plus
+ Experience documenting/diagramming workflows, such as Visio
+ Experience using project tracking tools, such as Jira
+ Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau
+ Willingness to work independently in an energetic, fast-paced, business-critical and team oriented-environment
+ A strong team player, with ability to work in collaboration across teams
+ Intellectual curiosity and interest to learn independently and from peers
+ A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience leading outcomes in financial services preferred

At Wellington Management, our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract, inspire and retain the best talent in our industry. We strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 100,000 - 225,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
