Lead Systems Engineer

Description:The Work:
The candidate will lead the SE team throughout the full SE life cycle, including software development and early integration, hardware stand-up, string and system integration, test planning, system certification and sell-off, and system delivery and production support.
Support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers, interface with the FMS teams.
The Lead Systems Engineer is required to guide the SE team through all tasking to ensure timely and high-quality results. Focus areas include:
- Representing the organization via interface with internal and external customers, program working groups, integrated product teams, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters
- Performing functional analysis, design trade studies, requirements definition and allocation, and interface definition
- Supporting integration and test, evaluating test results, investigating discrepancies, providing technical assessment of anomalies, and driving issues to resolution.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
-Experience with the SE process in all phases of the development lifecycle
-Experience in detailed software and hardware design/development programs
-Experience in requirements management spanning development, definition, analysis and verification
-Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze test results, and promptly communicate findings
-Customer interfacing skills to deliver appropriate messages and work through issue resolution
-Must be capable of supporting Agile methodology and be willing to support Automation measures.
Desired Skills:
-Providing requisite SE input and involvement throughout an Agile development process
-Model Based System Engineering methodology and tools (MagicDraw preferred)
-DOORS requirement management
-US Navy / Anti-Submarine Warfare experience, including sonar, sensors, weapon control
-Knowledge of the Aegis Combat System and interfaces with other combat system elements

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
