In this important position within our growing organization, you will play a critical role in coordinating the BESS work in North America and liaising with colleagues in the Volvo Energy team in Europe and India. You will be a key contact point on BESS for our North America partners and suppliers. + System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of stationary Battery ESS, ensuring integration with existing systems and compliance with industry standards. + Requirements Analysis: Analyze system requirements and develop detailed specifications for battery systems, including performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. + Project Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. + Testing and Validation: Develop and implement testing protocols to validate system performance, reliability, and safety. + Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system designs, specifications, and testing procedures. + Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. + Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency. **Who are you?** The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, particularly in the field of battery technology and energy storage solutions. **Qualifications** + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering. A Master’s degree is a plus. + Experience: At least 8 years of experience in product design and development, with a focus on battery systems and energy storage solutions. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in system design tools, simulation software, and testing equipment.
