Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide technical support including quotations for Power Sensing for Independent Owned Utilities (IOU’s), Public Power, and Utility DistributorsSupport Utility type customers in the NAM region for Application Engineering assistanceWorking with the engineering team on new design requirements to meet customer specificationsEnsure quotations are meeting the business margin targets. Work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams.Track large quotations and determine success or hit rate with customers and territories. Work closely with the Inside Sales team on providing pricing support.As required join the tendering calls for on the opportunity with the region Sales Specialist and factory teams for new blankets or large opportunitiesBuild & maintain relationships with the regional Sales Specialist, Channel partners, and the Grid Solutions sales force to drive market share growthWork directly with Customers to influence equipment specificationsProvide sales training to the Sales team and Channels including opportunity qualification, competitive positioning, specification influence, and other initiatives as requiredParticipate in assessing the performance of sales Channels to make changes or additions as appropriate to grow orders and salesBe accountable for growing the Utility market share and meeting or exceeding the orders, sales plan, and margin plan of the businessProvide customer training and participate in customer on-site meeting as required. Also, participate in region Meter School conferences and provide technical training on instrument transformersProvide an essential technical link from the customer to commercial operations, marketing, engineering, and product development teamsProvide Utility market and competitive intelligence to the teamWork jointly with Product Management/Engineering/Supply chain teams to drive development and delivery of new products and services to meet customer needs and improve customer satisfactionAssist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows and other promotional activities as requiredManage Travel and Living expenses within budget

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college and or equivalent years’ experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in a Technical Engineering role

Eligibility Requirements:

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%

Experience in the Transmission & Distribution industryTechnical background with Instrument TransformersAbility to work independently without direct supervisionSolid presentation skillsStrong creative problem solving skillsDemonstrated oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong customer mindsetAbility to communicate at all levels of the organization
