REQ12005 Lead Technician, Property Services (Open)POSITION SUMMARY:Provide high quality standards of customer services and technical supports in one or more departments, ensuring the effective and economic operations in accordance to the department policies and procedures. He/she may also be assigned to supervise a shift operation and for this he/she needs to work closely with the Supervisor.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Carry out and complete all maintenance requests on time and pay particular attention to guest related jobsAssist in monitoring all Property Services employees on productivity and quality of work; report to Assistant Manager, Property ServicesCoordinate with Housekeeping/EVS department for any follow up cleaning job required after completion of each jobEnsure all tools and equipment are regularly inspected for their correct function and safe for operational useFollow up all deficiencies noted during regular inspection and take ownership to carry out necessary works and reports to his/her supervisor at first instant for any breakdown that will affect the operationsPersonally supervise all hazardous work and ensures all safety regulations are being strictly observed by all employeesProject himself/herself with his/her staff as an efficient and professional member of the Operations and Maintenance TeamAdhere to all company policies and proceduresReport accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departmentsPerform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to timeQUALIFICATIONS:Experience: 3 - 5 years working experience from a 5-star hotel or large commercial property, industry building, shopping centre in a similar capacityEducation: High school diploma in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical or other rated disciplines, or equivalent professional trainingCandidates without related certificates but with solid experience will also be consideredSkills / Competencies : Good command in written and spoken English / Sinhala / TamilWorking knowledge in PC skills and use of all MS Office applications, including outlook and power point presentationGood technical knowledge of various central plant, E&M systems and equipmentHolding of Local Safety Certificate (if any)Good leadership and able to make sound decision and perform other duties as and when required very last minute and at time of emergencyExcellent interpersonal / presentation skills are required to deal effectively with all levels of staffs, contractors, suppliers and vendorsHands-on and possess good problem solving skills and attend to detailsIndependent and able to work with minimal supervisionFrequently / Occasional ascending or descending ladders and/or ramps and ability to work in high rise siteAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basisAbility to work on overtime when neededGood health, physically fit and excellence in personal grooming and presentation
