Team or Function Overview

Summary

The ISO Lead Technician is responsible for producing high quality commercial roofing products at GAF through accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of all manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities. The Lead Technician will perform various, rotating duties relating to all manufacturing operations. He or she will support the managers and all plant staff to meet operational goals and perform duties as assigned. Employees will contribute to a highly motivated and positive environment. The Lead Technician reports to the Production Supervisor.

The Lead Technician must be familiar with all areas of the foam making process along with any off-line equipment associated with the production line. Maintains a continuous efficient operation while assuring the proper setup of the foam line, and associated equipment. The Lead Technician checks and updates the production schedule as needed. The Lead Technician must have a high degree of knowledge of each product being produced and make decisions based upon the data gathered throughout the shift. It is the responsibility of all Technicians to operate in a safe manner, and monitor quality of the product we produce through the use of process specifications, Plant RCN, PCN, and online testing.

Under This Roof, We Require

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required3+ years of manufacturing experience required - preferably in a fast paced, continuous process environment.
