Transdev in Englewood, Colorado is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Diesel Technician to join our team. The Lead Diesel Technician will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our diesel technician team, ensuring the timely and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
+ $37.00-40.00/ Hour
+ Must have flexibility with schedules

+ Vacation: minimum of 2 weeks
+ Sick: 48 hours per year
+ Holiday Pay: 7 days per year after 90 days of employment
+ Company ASE testing reimbursement,
+ Tool and Shoes reimbursement once per year.
Responsibilities
+ Daily review with a Foreman of the Road Call report to identify any Check Engine Light (CEL), Multifunction Indicator Light (MIL), SCR, DEF, Stop Engine, No Charge Lights, etc.
+ Ability to read schematics well and diagnose buses within or before the “Industry and Transdev” standard times.
+ Ability to learn and understand complex systems.
+ Must attend and be certified with RTD Training Classes.
+ Knowledge of I/O Systems with the ability to learn new systems.
+ Knowledge of ZF Transmissions.
+ Diagnose all road call’s with “lost service time” to prevent repeaters.
+ Work closely with the QC Manager to train and implement new standards in the shop.
+ Train and document of all technicians in the shop on existing and new findings on buses.
+ Identify when an issue becomes a “fleet defect” and track and report accordingly.
+ Review parts to ensure quality before installation.
+ Track failures and repeat problems.
+ Monitor technician performance and productivity.
+ Monitor “Come-Back” work from technicians and report and re-train accordingly.
+ Knowledge in DEF/SCR Systems
+ Must have deep knowledge of Cummins In-Site program and able to use at an advanced level.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Travel requirement outside of immediate area: less then 10%
Qualifications
Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ 3 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of automotive and transit equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of and alternate fuel engines and/or internal combustion engines, automatic transmissions, airbrakes, steering and drivelines.
+ Possess an understanding of the theory of electricity and also be able to read and understand wiring diagrams.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to work with Word and Excel.
+ Must obtain ASE Master certification in “T” Series within 12 months.
+ Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license with a passenger endorsement.
+ Prior experience with computerized diagnostic equipment.
+ Fleet field experience a plus.
+ Must be able to work flexible hours.
+ Must complete and sign the Transdev employment application in its entirety.
+ College degree a plus but a combination of education and work experience may be considered.
+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
* Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
* Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
* Push and pull objects up to XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
* Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
