Lead Technician - Maintenance

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$31.37 - $52.28

Position Brand Description:

The Lead Technician - Maintenance is responsible for equipment maintenance strategy development and implementation, providing support to production processes, as well as supporting area maintenance initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation.

This position will require the development of expertise in production processes and equipment and CMMS (GMARS).

This role will help ensure that equipment is maintained in a qualified state, can be operated safely, and maintenance is properly performed on the systems.

Key Objectives / Deliverables:

Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, leading safety initiatives, and working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.Own the maintenance program for the equipment in the process area.Act as owner / user in requesting and reviewing Work Orders (WOs), both electronic and paper, facilitate scheduling of maintenance activities; and create and maintain maintenance procedures.Serve as an escalation point for Operations Maintenance group for maintenance action plans (MAPs) and HOLDs as needed to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.Ensure WO’s, MAPs and HOLDS are dispositioned in a timely manner.Accountable for their area’s Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Coordinate and control Preventative Maintenance (PM) planning.Serve as the lead maintenance representative during shutdown planning and execution.Initiate observations as needed.Contribute to change management Process and Quality actions.Mentor front line resources in maintenance execution.Support maintenance as part of the escalation model.Plan and execute small projects for maintenance related changes.Perform safety reviews and audits.Perform activities in accordance with cGMPs and applicable procedures.Understand the production process and critical process parameters.Work within the process team, including engineers and operations personnel, participate in and sometimes lead development of procedures and maintenance practices that will enable the process to operate as required.Seek out and identify opportunities to improve equipment effectiveness and reliability.Participate in periodic reviews of equipment state.Transferring knowledge of equipment capabilities and operational techniques to operators, engineering, and maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of maintenance/manufacturing experience within a parenteral plant.Previous leadership experience leading a crew performing maintenance within a GMP facility.Completion of Post Offer Exam or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

Relevant GMP manufacturing experience.Expertise in production processes and equipment, CMMS (GMARS), as well as a foundational knowledge in a discipline (mechanical, electrical / instrumentation and automation).Demonstrated ability to work safely in a participative environment.Experience in equipment maintenance and equipment / process troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of parenteral equipment and manufacturing operations.Demonstrated influential leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and communications skills with a customer service attitude.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.HOLD / MAP knowledge.Change control and observation investigation experience.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education Requirements:

Associate's degree in Engineering or associated field.

Other Information:

8 hour / Mon-Fri, overtime will be required, Support on weekends and during area shutdowns is also in scope for this role.On call when area is in operation, our production areas operate 24/7 and this is a leading role responsible for ensuring all area down times are addressed in a timely manner.Required to respond to operational issues off shift as part of the area escalation plan, you will be required to carry a company provided cell phone and responsible to require within an acceptable time frame.Minimal travel required.Applicant will work in various areas within the Parenteral Plant. Some allergens are present in the Parenteral Plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position.
