Lead Technologist II, Enterprise Data Management

Neuberger Berman's technology team is seeking a Lead Technologist II, Enterprise Data Management leader. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Data Technology, this person will be a highly motivated and skilled professional to lead our data platform build out and NB Data vision. The individual will establish strategic priorities, design operational processes, and drive the data and analytics roadmap.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop the Data function’s overall technology architecture, strategy and own the NB’s data management roadmap
+ Expand the strategic use of Snowflake in a way that brings out value to other technology teams and business
+ Drive the firm’s strategic migration to the cloud and enable scalable AI solutions to enhance decision-making and innovation
+ Develop and harness new data tools and data analytics solutions, with a keen understanding of the right projects and tools to maximize operational and commercial outcomes
**Requirements:**
+ 10+ years minimum of related experience, Bachelor's degree preferred with master’s or equivalent experience
+ Proven expertise in building large scale systems and experience with Java, Kafka, Spark and related technologies
+ Mastery of Big Data Ecosystem technologies with hands-on experience implementing data ingestion, storage, processing, and publication solutions.
+ Hands-on experience with public and private cloud capabilities including Snowflake and Data Bricks preferred
+ Proven foundation in data analytics, data engineering and modern Data technologies
+ Proven technology and personal leadership experience in enterprise data governance, data security, data warehousing, data analytics
+ Experience with data virtualization, production use of open-source technologies and external cloud deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake) for data storage and compute capabilities
**Leadership:**
+ Effective at leading, influencing and communicating with varying levels of expertise internally and externally
+ Superior verbal and written communicator who can effectively toggle from teamwork to independent execution
+ Highly collaborative and fosters a strong team-oriented approach.
+ Ability to foster group problem-solving and solution creation with business and technical team members
+ Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $175,000-$225,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
