Overview The Lead IT Asset Management (ITAM) Governance Specialist will lead and execute IT Asset Management (ITAM) Governance to drive innovation, efficiency, and financial value through the implementation and enhancement of ITAM technologies, processes, and data. Oversee ITAM governance projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with data governance policies. Conduct regular audits, maintain comprehensive ITAM documentation, and drive continuous improvement and training programs. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data consistency and integration, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance. Responsibilities Job Description Lead workstreams and execute IT Asset Management Governance to drive innovation, efficiency, and financial value in the implementation, integration, enhancement, or modification of IT Asset Management related technologies, the people, the data, and processes. Doing so through automation, cost-saving actions, improved processes, new workstreams, rationalization, reuse, optimization, compliance, and data integrity. Serve as and lead IT asset management - governance projects as project coordinator and operational overseer. Leading the team on IT asset management governance tactical objectives, outcomes, and milestones in direct support of leadership and correlation to system and leadership stragies ensuring alignment with system goals, KPIs and OKRs. Oversee enforcement of data governance policies and standards for ITAM governance. Provide detailed recommendations on changes, risks, gaps, and industry trends through reports and presentations to align Fairview to excellence. Lead regular audits to verify data compliance and accuracy, identify areas for improvement, and hold stakeholders accountable to compliance standards. Lead the creation and maintenance of all IT Asset Management documentation, including but not limited to governance, policy, standards, master processes, and procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility through centralized documentation platforms. Drive training programs through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one mentorship to stakeholders and team members on documented ITAM best practices and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and high standards. Drive continuous improvement activities to maintain high data quality. Ensuring the compliance, accuracy, and completeness of IT asset data by implementing and maintaining robust data validation and verification processes. Drive excellent organizational change management and communications through collaboration with stakeholders by hosting regular meetings and having open communication channels to ensure data consistency, completeness, and seamless integration across various systems and platforms providing awareness of and compliance toward IT Asset Management Governance, policies, standards, processes, and projects. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in business or technology field or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training Experience 7+ years experience in IT Asset management with strong understanding of both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) to include responsibilities such as guiding vendor partners toward successful outcomes, tactical decision making, implementing ITAM technologies and processes and experience operationalizing data maintenance and data governance practices for an enterprise environment. 1+ year(s) experience leading teams and complex projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive-level business & technology partners and presentations with management. Excellent analytical skills Excellent reporting skills with multiple of the following areas demonstrating evidence of showing the value through performance metrics, financials, capacity, smart goals, and efficiencies/automation. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization. Including strong collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to facilitate problem-solving among groups with varying needs and priorities; effectively lead without direct authority Demonstrated ability to independently multi-task and prioritize work Demonstrated ability to drive tactical day-to-day decision making Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language. Preferred Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree Experience Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), with expertise in both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) Experience in the governance of an ITAM program and the ITAM data & processes Client and stakeholder relationship management experience and the ability to proactively manage expectations. Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language.
