Lead Test Engineer, ASIC Test Engineering

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Develop production, qualification and characterization test programs for Advantest 93k tester Own development process from design kick-off to production release Interface with cross functional Design and DFT teams to develop and implement test plans Assist with automation of test pattern development and conversion Design and debug the required device interface boards (DIB), probe cards and test program used for device characterization, qualification and production Develop new test techniques to improve test efficiency and reduce cost of test Debug design and process related yield and performance problems Optimize test time and yield of Final Test (FT) Program and/or Electrical Wafer Sort Test Program (EWS) Work with cross functional engineering teams in failure analysis and defining corrective actions Provide lifetime support for test program enhancements as needed to ensure high quality and cost-effective manufacturing throughput

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-driven, demonstrating ownership and initiative

Skills

Working knowledge of basic analog and digital circuits PCB design and analysis – experience with high-frequency/RF design & analysis is highly desirable Strong programming background (C++, Java and Python) Conduct analysis of data statistics and test problems seen on the production test floor Experience with Advantest 93k tester Experience testing high-speed datacom integrated circuits (TIAs, laser drivers, CDRs is highly desirable

 

Working Conditions

40-hour work week, hybrid work, (min 3 days on-site) is an option.  Position requires the candidate to develop and debug at the local OSAT  as necessary. May require occasional off-site meetings or travel. Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job

Physical Requirements

Able to move light equipment and tooling (<25lbs) as needed when setting up manufacturing stations.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards.  This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently.  They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
