**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Valuation Specialist to support Collateral Underwriting. Will act as a subject matter expert through exams and audit findings. Will provide complex loan level escalation and decisioning support for Home Lending residential origination loans. Will be a change management driver, utilizing analysis from quality results, key risk data, industry direction, lender / GSE / investor risk tolerance, challenges with business process and customer experience results to drive change. Will focus on residential originations transaction reviews and escalation support. Will partner with internal and external stakeholders providing feedback, including control, legal, and Home Lending Operations. This is a highly visible, critical role with interactions across LOBs, third parties, and executive leadership.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead Escalations / Complex Reviews - Will represent the Collateral Underwriting team on certain complex scenarios, including loan level escalations with valuation, condominium and cooperative project review issues, determining eligibility with Wells Fargo, FHA, VA, Fannie and Freddie policy, interpretation of policy for scenarios not explicitly described by policy or providing options available
+ Collateral Subject Matter Expert – Will lead various meetings/calls both internal and external to the organization that require a subject matter expert in the agency or government collateral space
+ Lead all collateral underwriting risk management and review activities, reporting directly to the head of Collateral Underwriting
+ Manage Policy / Procedural Changes – From submitting credit policy change requests (intake) to planning / implementation and final execution of changes related to agency and government loans. Will assess the changes to operation and risk for Collateral Underwriting. May include updating training manuals and communicating changes to the team directly
+ Assume responsibility for ongoing evaluations of new equipment and equipment under lease to ensure values are accurate and the portfolio is sound for Valuations
+ Act as project leader or mentor for staff
+ Research, evaluate and approve and recommend residuals and assist sales management in structuring transactions for markets, equipment and businesses
+ Assist in planning, forecasting, researching and collection of all off lease equipment
+ Resolve highly complex issues and lead team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the processes and risks involved
+ Collaborate and consult with individuals, colleagues and management to resolve problems and achieve objectives
Work locations: Minneapolis, Minnesota, Charlotte, North Carolina and Chandler, Arizona.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of Valuations, Lending, Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Extensive experience with collateral underwriting, specifically with valuations and cooperative and condo project review and insurance analysis
+ Conforming, Non-Conforming, FHA, and VA experience preferred
+ Knowledge of Wells Fargo systems, including but not limited to CORE, Opera, FulfillmentWeb, CPATweb, and CMS
+ Experience with internal partners, like Home Lending Operations, sales, credit underwriting and external partners like appraisal vendors, GSEs, etc
**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$40.38 - $71.83
