Lead Vascular Sonographer
Job Summary:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Vascular Sonographer to join our dynamic Vascular Lab team. Job Description: Responsibilities: + Provides ongoing monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, particularly in the areas of productivity and quality management. Offers constructive feedback and support to enhance individual and team effectiveness + Acts as a positive role model by fostering teamwork, cooperation, and a positive work culture. Collaborates with team members to promote a harmonious and efficient work environment + Assists in coordinating services within the Vascular Lab, including assigning and prioritizing assignments, ensuring proper workflow, and facilitating situational decision making and problem-solving + Takes the lead in handling complex or novel issues that may arise during the performance of vascular sonography duties. Provides guidance and support to team members in resolving challenging cases + Assumes responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of equipment quality control. Oversees the implementation of routine quality control testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols + Manages equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, liaising with appropriate vendors or service providers as needed. Takes proactive measures to ensure the smooth operation of ultrasound equipment and promptly addresses any technical issues that may arise + Stays updated on the latest advancements and best practices in vascular sonography, sharing knowledge and insights with the team and actively participating in professional development activities + Collaborates with the Vascular Lab management team to develop and implement policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and optimize departmental operations + Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to equipment maintenance, quality control measures, and performance evaluations + Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, including those set forth by accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies Requirements: + Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) license required + Minimum of 1 year of previous experience with a variety of modalities, including extra cranial, venous, peripheral arterial, and visceral Additional Skills and Attributes: + Exceptional technical skills in performing vascular ultrasound examinations + Proficiency in using relevant ultrasound equipment and software + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care + The ability to work well within a team and demonstrate leadership qualities + A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Scheduled Work Shift: Job Exempt: No Benefits: Supporting all aspects of our employees’ wellness – physical, emotional and financial – is a critical component of being a great place to work.
