Job Summary:
A Lead Wafer Technician in a Class 100 cleanroom, provides technical support and hands on processing for Infrared Detector Wafer Processing. They will work with Engineering and Operations on development programs to facilitate quick turn processing and increased cycles of learning. They possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, and routinely demonstrate an ability to prioritize their work, multitask and schedule their time. They rigorously document the processes performed in electronic tracking systems and execute tasks to ensure that equipment and processes being used are in control. Highly technical work is performed without supervision and these individuals are utilized by area leads and support teams for challenging technical assignments within their areas of expertise. This is a 100% onsite position.
**1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30PM and negotiable in Goleta, California. This is an onsite position.

Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training)Minimum 8 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.Has experience in MS Office (Excel)US Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We Prefer:
More than 8 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Experience in Photolithography, Wet Etch, Hybridization, Thin Film Deposition or other cleanroom Focal Plane Array, fabrication work cells.Ability to work safely with chemicals and raw production materials. The salary range for this role is $68,000 to $92,000. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
