Lead Warehouse Worker (Full Time, 2nd Shift)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include receiving product, fulfilling, packaging, and shipping orders within established team goals to ensure on time order delivery.

Responsibilities

Facilitate and support all required EH&S and QRA trainingAssist with temperature monitoring and follow proper channels when discrepancies ariseEnsure that Cardinal Health's core principles, policies and procedures are consistently practicedLead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve productivity and quality goals.Coordinate workflow to accomplish overall business objectivesPerform functional tasks whenever necessary to facilitate workflowHandle general employee inquiries and solve routine problems within scope of the position, collaborate with peers and leadership on more complex problemsEmbody our core VBO through your actions and treatment of others dailyPromote an environment of teamwork and continuous improvementSupport the supervisor by assisting in the monitoring of attendance/tardiness and providing firsthand input for performance appraisalsWork closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamwork and overall shift successProvide assistance in the orientation, training and development of new hires as well as the retraining of experienced employees

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft officeAbility to lift and carry, up to 50 poundsComfort with heights up to 30 ftAbility to follow direction and change prioritiesGood verbal and written communication skills Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
