The Lead Workface Planning is a critical role responsible for overseeing construction planning, execution sequencing, and work packaging coordination at a construction site. This position establishes standards and processes for Workface Planning (WFP) and Installation Work Packages (IWPs) while ensuring adherence to WFP audit protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Planning and Sequencing:

Oversee construction planning activities, ensuring efficient sequencing of work tasks. Coordinate with project teams to optimize construction schedules and resource allocation.

Workface Planning (WFP) Standards:

Establish and maintain WFP standards and best practices. Develop guidelines for creating effective Installation Work Packages (IWPs).

Constraint Management:

Identify and address constraints that impact construction progress. Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate constraints and maintain project timelines.

Team Leadership:

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff to achieve high performance. Guide and supervise junior staff, acting as a point of referral for analysis and queries.

Resource Mobilization:

Contribute to resource mobilization efforts in support of project implementation. Support the roll-out of relevant action plans, such as the SABER action plan.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience in construction planning, workface planning, and project coordination. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide teams. Familiarity with WFP audit protocols and best practices.
