Job Description SummaryThe Leader, Schenectady Cores and Castings, will provide leadership to all organizations and employees in Schenectady Cores and Castings, a high technology manufacturing development and production team focused on core and casting manufacturing for Gas Turbines. You will drive operational excellence, making extensive use of lean and advanced manufacturing techniques to achieve world-class results in safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Essential Responsibilities

Your principal responsibilities will be:

Execute the strategy for the organization, working collaboratively with leaders in the Global Supply Chain and EngineeringProvide development of staff leaders to guide production and support organizationsWork with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production requirementsLead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in safety, quality, delivery, and costIntegrate engineering and manufacturing for the resolution of technical issues and development of new productsWork with global cross-functional teams to establish the appropriate conditions to effectively meet long-range and near-term production goalsEstablish and maintain a vision for successFacilitate the leadership team in strategic decision-making, problem solving and daily managementDevelop and track expense and investment budgets with the input of each organizationMaintain an organizational structure that best supports prioritiesEngage all employees in driving for continuous improvement through LeanMaintain constructive labor relations with unions, engaging with employees at all levels of the organizationHire, coach, and develop professional employees

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience4 years minimum of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting

The base pay range for this position is $138,000.00 -$184,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
