Role Summary: 

The Leader, Warehouse IT Infrastructure, will play a critical role in optimizing warehouse operations by leading the integration, maintenance, and enhancement of TireHub IT hardware and software. This role will oversee local and remote IT engineers, support day-to-day operations, and direct/ or administer technology deployments for new warehouse builds, as well as expansions. The Leader, Warehouse IT Infrastructure will need expertise in proposing innovative solutions, refining processes, and collaborating with infrastructure partners. This collaboration will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of TireHub’s technology infrastructure.

This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Corporate and Distribution Center Technology.

Role Specifics:

Team Leadership and Management: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of IT engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing. Provide leadership, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure accountability and the achievement of objectives. Additionally, oversee and coordinate the work of remote contractors, both locally and internationally, to ensure seamless collaboration and execution. Hands-On IT Management: Leads the integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of warehouse IT hardware and software which includes: tablets, handheld scanners, and printers, as well as the associated software used to manage them. Vendor Management: Develops and manages service provider relationships supporting warehouse IT Infrastructure such as: Wide Area Networks (WAN), telecom and satellite services, Mobile Device Management (MDF), and SOTI support. Regional Coordination: Promotes collaboration among TireHub? regional IT engineers to standardize processes, share best practices, and address challenges. Serves as the primary liaison between the team and TireHub’s corporate IT leadership. Process Improvement: Defines and improves processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse IT operations. Project Coordination: Manages support for existing warehouses and coordinates visits to new locations to oversee handoffs from infrastructure partners, such as consultants and low voltage installers. Hands-On Support: Assists device configuration, inventory management, shipping, and project management tasks as required.

·         Ensures individual personal adherence to TireHub policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

·         Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through in-class, in-person, or computer-based learning modules as assigned. 

·         Completes other tasks assigned by the VP of IT, Sr. Manager Corporate and Distribution Center Technology, or another member of Senior Leadership, as requested.

Competencies:

Staff Management: Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and lead geographically dispersed IT teams of at least five members, both local and remote, fostering collaboration, achieving performance objectives, and driving team growth through strategic workforce planning and effective leadership. Network Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with computer networks, wired and wireless, network administration, and network infrastructure installation. Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and the ability to implement security measures to protect warehouse IT infrastructure. Project Management: Ability to manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Technical Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical teams, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and external partners effectively.

 

 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS or related field is preferred.

·         10+ years progressive responsibility in a leadership role with the ability to manage employees in the field (Locally and/or internationally).

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in either the warehouse or manufacturing industry is preferred.

Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), is a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Demonstrates strong verbal, written, presentation skills for effective collaboration with both internal teams and external customers, ensuring clear and impactful communication across all levels.

·         Ability to effectively lead and motivate others cross-functionally within a matrixed organizational structure, fostering collaboration and aligning efforts to achieve business objectives.

·         Demonstrates strong abilities in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.

·         Ability to effectively manage and troubleshoot warehouse IT hardware, including tablets, handheld scanners, printers, and network devices. Proven experience managing, configuring, and supporting Apple iPads, Keyence BTA700 Scanners, Zebra devices, specifically VC8300s, MC9300s, DS3768 Scanners and cradles, ZQ521 Printers, and ZT411 Printers.

·         Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), IT service management software (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), and software used to manage warehouse devices (e.g., StayLinked, SOTI).

·         Ability to use analytical and critical-thinking skills to solve complex challenges, identify patterns, and implement data-driven solutions.

·         Ability to maintain a high level of organization, detail-orientation, and accuracy in handling responsibilities, ensuring thoroughness in task and projects.

·         Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload, adapting to changing priorities with ease.

·         Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines, demonstrating a strong capacity for planning and execution in a fast-paced environment.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

A valid Driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience required (3 years preferred; Does not include time on learner’s permits).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Extensive Tire Industry Knowledge with in-depth understanding of programming, pricing, and rebate structures, with a focus on leveraging this expertise to drive value within the role.

·         Comprehensive knowledge of tire industry product life cycles, from launch to phase-out, supporting informed decision-making and effective product positioning.

Working Conditions:

This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment. Most of the time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around. There may be occasions to move or lift light articles. Must be able to work flexible hours during routinely critical times to support the department. This position will require up to 60% travel to different Regional Distribution Center locations and to our TireHub Logistic Centers (TLCs), to support IT infrastructure projects, devices, and other related needs. Travel to our HQ in Atlanta for meetings and team collaboration will be required occasionally.
