Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. 
What you will do: 

 Day to day leadership responsibilities of a team of Contract Management professionals including: training of current and new members, mentoring of all members of the team, daily coaching and guidance, and performance reviews of all team members to ensure effective team development and performance. Support Trane commercial market/customer share growth in sale of new equipment, contracting, rental and service projects in North America.Direct business strategy and day-to-day priorities of Contract Management department. This involves directing negotiations with major customers on bids, and contracts as part of balancing order closure and risk management.Assist with plans and direction of all aspects of the organization’s Contract Management function. Identify and manage legal and contractual risks associated with the Trane commercial business offerings in North America including providing business leaders with assessments of legal, contractual, and select business risk and recommendations, as warranted. Support project acquisition, fulfillment, and contract risk management on commercial projects for the equipment, contracting, rental and service business streams. Act as advisor to Trane’s legal, manufacturing, distribution, and finance organizations as required.Maintain and monitor existing metrics and develop new metrics as necessary to ensure the Contract Management team is positioned to streamline and cost effectively process its work.Manage projects and records. Access and support Domestic, International & Trane Export projects.Responsible for overseeing the review and acknowledgment of Federal GSA orders.Travel to Trane North America commercial sales offices and customer locations to negotiate agreements, enhance business relationships, solve operating problems, and market and train on the ContractManagement processes and policies.Full and immediate accessibility to Corporate Executive Management.Develop and maintain strong business relationships with Trane North America commercial sales office staff, manufacturing locations, Financial Services and Risk Management.Serve as a member of the Global Commercial Legal, Contract Management Center of Expertise team and develop and implement consistent COE standards, processes, metrics, solutions, templates, and tools to improve and facilitate best-in-class business and contract processes in the Contract Management function. Mentor, train, and develop Contract Managers and Contract Analysts.Lead Contract Management training presentations at region and territory sales organizations meetings as required. Incorporate additional material as directed by legal department leadership, including anti-trust compliance.Assist with M&A due diligence with respect to sales and service contracts, as required.  Train and provide ongoing guidance to paralegal responsible for administering NDA review centralization project. Coordinate Contract Management training presentations to Trane’s Graduate Training Program members.Keep current with industry best practices and technology though involvement in professional contract management associations (IACCM and NCMA). Active member of Commercial HVAC legal leadership team. Provide guidance to territory Vice President regarding escalation of risk decision process. 

What you will bring: 

 Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related area required. MBA or JD a plus.  Minimum 10 years of contract management experience. Extensive experience in leading people. Expert in ability to understand, interpret, and negotiate complex contract documents; training in negotiation skills a plus. Experience in negotiating terms and conditions with a broad background of knowledge required. Ability to develop a working knowledge of existing Trane policies and primary processes preferred in order to work with senior Trane commercial leadership to modify and validate changes as required. Must possess knowledge of construction, business and insurance and risk management.  Ability to direct team to meet short and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent interpersonal and team skills with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel with our sales offices, customers, and business units. Ability to effectively communicate judgment decisions, both internally and externally. Must have strong managerial skills to handle and direct multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously, which may involve diverse business issues. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish short and long-term goals. Exhibit a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $120,000-170,000 Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
