Job Description

Lead Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) quarterly supplier requirement coordination with 3rd party provider, identify non-compliances, produce quarterly reportsLead the procurement compliance strategy for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), gather and analyze CSRD data, policies and targets, monitor supplier progress, manage and analyse supplier sustainability dataLead corporate-wide annual Conflict Minerals efforts, including supplier data collection, reporting (internal and external) and the supplier recycling surveyTrack supplier performance on AAM's sustainability reporting platform, work with suppliers on gap areas and corrective actions, engaging non-compliant suppliersSupport programs/activities on behalf of AAM Global Procurement e.g. AAM Supplier Sustainability Council, annual procurement responses for CDP, EcoVadis, AAM Sustainability ReportManage, track and report supplier performance on Science Based Target compliance effortsRepresent AAM Global Procurement at AIAG SET and RMI meetings, attend sourcing council meetings to monitor compliance with sustainability requirementsMonitor and communicate with suppliers / AAM associates through various mailboxes (e.g. Conflict Minerals, Sustainability, Due Diligence)Assist in the coordination of the annual supplier sustainability awards nomination and winner selection processAll other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

Successfully completed Bachelors degree with at least 5 years’ experience, or a Masters degree with a least 3 years experienceStrong understanding of sustainability practices, environmental regulations and supply chain processesProficiency working within a sustainability reporting framework, policy writing experience a plusExperience developing and tracking targetsStrong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set prioritiesAbility to collaborate cross-functionally at different management levels, strong communication skills including presentations to the C-suiteStrong user knowledge of MS Office, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and WordAbility to manage databases, understand information flow and establish tracking systemsVery good English language knowledge essential, good knowledge of German a plus
